Aug 15, 2008 to Jan 19, 2009
  • Modified the sites look and feel - currently under construction.
  • Site and database tables optimized and standardized
  • A new CSS developed so that the site could be updated easily - all code revised to meet XHTML standard
  • Removed the 'e-Cards', 'Message Board' and 'Event Calendar' applications and applicable database tables.
  • Added 'Music' and 'Communiqués' applications as well as changed Cindy's Gallery from static to dynamic (database driven).

  • Modified all navigation files to include the Contractible Headers script. Incorporated all revisions outlined by jscheuer1 who modified the JavaScript changing the cookie code to function for the site not just the page (dynamicdrive.com - Forum). jscheuer1 also provided the code that displays the + and - characters when the headers are expanded and contracted (dynamicdrive.com - Forum).

  • Added an Audio & Video Clip application which allows users to upload audio and video clips. Users can rate and review clips. The 'Review' component utilizes a modified rich text editor (KevinRoth.com).
  • The functionality is similar to the 'Jokes' application (Same images and similar Categories and SubCategories). Four new tables were added to the ipopper.net database.
  • This application uses the Contractible Headers navigation script (dynamicdrive.com).
  • The name of the 'Directory' application was changed to 'Directory Links' and the name of the 'Picture Voting' application was changed to 'Picture Rating'. All pages within these directories as well as the navigation files were updated accordingly

  • Added the Contractible Headers script (dynamicdrive.com) to the Jokes, Classifieds, Directory and Recipes navigation includes. Much thanks to jscheuer1 who modified the JavaScript which changes the cookie code to function for the site not just the page (dynamicdrive.com - Forum). jscheuer1 also provided the code that displays the + and - characters when the headers are expanded and contracted (dynamicdrive.com - Forum).
  • The Header (or Span portion of the script) dynamically displays the Category Name extracted from the Category table of the ipopper.net database
  • The Spans are dynamically and uniquely numbered using the Category ID (primary key) extracted from the Category table of the ipopper.net database
  • The Expandable content (or Div portion of the script) dynamically displays the Sub-Category Name extracted from the SubCategory table of the ipopper.net database. The Divs are uniquely numbered using the Category ID (primary key) extracted from the Category table of the ipopper.net database
  • The Mouse Over links effect of the expandable content is dynamically and uniquely numbered using the Sub-Category ID (primary key) extracted from the SubCategory table of the ipopper.net database

  • Added two new tables to the ipopper.net database – tblAvatars (to hold member’s avatar) and tblCountries (to hold member’s country and flag image).
  • Modified the tblUsers table adding three new fields – UserAvatar, UserCountry and UserURL
  • Modified registration page adding two required fields - Avatar and Country pick lists and a non required members Web site text field
  • Modified all relative pages in the Users directory and Admin directory to accommodate the above database changes.
  • Added a ‘Members’ value to the inc_search pick list.

All pages affected (News and Articles, Message Board, Directory, Polls and Admin) were updated accordingly. The Interface was slightly modified to add a tiled background image to the top yellow a and blue navigation/title bars at all pages. Some code fixes also made.
